Robert De Niro is being sued, its been reported, by his former nanny who claims that she is due $40,00.
In a lawsuit filed in Manhattan’s state Supreme Court, Alexis Barry alleges that she was not paid for 750 hours of overtime and never took ten vacation days and now she wants her money..
A spokesman for the Oscar-winning actor said that he could not comment as he has not seen the legal documents.
De Niro, 65, and his wife Grace Hightower hired Barry in August 2006, PA reports. The nanny claims that after she told them she was leaving, she was fired, just ten months after beginning the job.(hm.. must be a “star” thing.. didn’t we go through this with Madonna?)
