Ellen DeGeneres has said that she hopes that Paula Abdul is okay with her taking on the permanent idol position.
Her duties will begin as soon as the last auditions take place for the award winning show, which Paula Abdul left in August. Having been seen as the empathetic one, Abdul was among the favorite of many contestants.
Ellen says that she will pick up where Abdul left off with the sympathey and empathy for the constestants and hopes to be seen as a more sympathetic and kind person even when telling the truth to the contestants.
