“America’s Got Talent” judge David Hasselhoff’s ex-wife Pamela Bach has told London’s Daily Mail that the actor’s severe alcoholism wracked their marriage.
“David loved the bottle more than me,” Bach tells the Daily Mail. “I don’t want this to be an attack on David. I love him. I always have. He’s a good man. He’s tried desperately hard to get sober. But he’s an alcoholic. He has a disease, just like cancer. And just like cancer, it ate away at our family from the inside.”
Hasselhoff’s ex-wife has often been vilified as a gold-digger in the media due to the fact that she has been trying to get her hands on some of her ex-husband’s $50 million fortune. But Bach rejects this accusation, saying that she was happily married to Hasselhoff for years, that she is the mother of his two children and that she in fact gave up her career to be a stay-at-home mom while he was the “main breadwinner.”
