Congratulations are in order for Cristiano Ronaldo and his fiancé Georgina Rodriques who welcomed their daughter Alana Martina this week.
Baby Number Four
Cristiano surprised his fans when he announced the safe arrival of his daughter on his Instagram account on Sunday.
His 23-year-old fiancée Georgina was admitted to a Madrid hospital just few hours before the big announcement and gave birth by a c-section. Cristiano shared the news by writing “Alana Martina was just born, Both Geo and Alana are doing great! We are all very happy!”
The baby’s name was announced on social media prior to birth explaining that Ronaldo chose the first and Georgina the second one.
Cristiano is already a dad of seven-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. and twins Eva and Mateo born earlier in the year from a surrogate mother. The Real Madrid star has exclusive custody of his first three kids.
The Date of the Birth
Georgina was due to give birth around November 21 but was admitted to hospital earlier on Sunday.
Reportedly the date of the birth was intentionally pushed forward since Ronaldo was given time off from his coach Fernando Santos to enjoy his first days with his newborn. He missed the friendly game against Saudi Arabia on November 10 and helped Georgina prepare for birth. Since he has no club matches until the next weekend, the timing was just right to plan for the arrival of Alana Martina.
Ronaldo will have to combine his semi-paternity leave with the training sessions since he is due to represent Real Madrid on November 18.
The Parenthood
The couple is dating since they met at Dolce&Gabbana party in Madrid last year.
They announced pregnancy back in July saying that they are very happy and that Ronaldo Jr. is super excited about the news since he wishes to have six siblings.
Being a father is a truly unique experience for this football star as he himself explains in the interviews. It has softened him and showed him what truly matters in life. He said that parenthood taught him things that he never knew existed and changed him completely.
Georgina Rodriguez, on her own part is delighted to become a part of the Ronaldo family. The 23-year-old beauty shared a picture of her and the newborn baby on social media this week with a sweet message of how her family with the football superstar is now ‘complete’.
