The FAA flight records for that Lear Jet, which crashed and burned last evening in SC, which were also gleaned by E News showed that the jet was just two years old, and had flown without incident many times prior to this trip.
The Jet was also carrying the passengers uneventfully less than an hour prior to the crash.
Registered with the FAA in California, the jet had, it was said, made a routine hour and 25 minute flight to Columbia SC Metro Airport, and arrived at 11:08 PM.
Less than an hour later, as the plane attempted to take off, it crashed before gaining full flight.
An FAA source said that “Something must have gone wrong on the ground,” …. “It appears the plane had no mechanical issues.”
