Simon Cowell offered a word of comfort to the family of an American Idol hopeful who was killed in a hit-and-run accident in New Jersey.
Alexis Cohen, 25, died after sustaining head, chest and abdomen injuries when she was struck by a vehicle A man has been arrested and charged in connection with her death, though he says he will be pleading not guilty.
Speaking to Extra, Cowell said: “I was incredibly sad to hear the news about Alexis.
“She was one of the contestants I will always remember. She had a big personality and a big heart. My thoughts are now with her family and friends.”
