Coronation Street star Alan Halsall who is Tyrone Dobbs on the soap tied the knot with his long time girlfriend yesterday in a ceremony in Cheshire.
Coronation Street, for those of you who don’t know is one of the longest running soaps in history, and is based in Manchester–and is even wildly popular in the U.S.
The two stars got close while working on the set of the Manchester-based show back in 2005. Hudson made her debut as Weatherfield’s t Katy Harris in 2002 and was written out three years later.(anyone else thing Corrie tends to change actors FAR too often?)
A plethora of Coronation Street cast members past and present attended the wedding, a veritable who’s who in Weatherfield, including Jenny McAlpine (Fiz Brown), Samia Smith (Maria Connor), Jane Danson (Leanne Battersby), Tina O’Brien (Sarah Platt) and Ryan Thomas (Jason Grimshaw).
Both the bride and the groom arrived at the wedding while wearing black capes, in an attempt to protect a magazine photos deal.
