Conan O’Brien Makes Surprise Return to NBC’s Late Night

Conan O'Brien Makes Surprise Return to NBC's Late NightLast night Conan O’Brien made a quick return to NBC’s Late Night show. To the great surprise of the audience, once the show’s host Jimmy Fallon had finished the traditional opening monologue Conan walked out onto the stage. The audience gave an enthusiastic welcome to the shows old host, after the standing ovation Conan said to the audience;

“I was in New York and I decided I wanted to come by, check out my old studio,” he said. And engage in a little awkward comedy, of course.

Although this is not strictly true as pointed out by Xfinity the Late Night has since moved to filming in a new studio, although Fallon and Conan acted as if it was the very same studio that Conan used to film in.

The banter continued with;

“You were here for 16 years, and then what happened?” Fallon asked his Late Night predecessor.

Conan replied with, “Don’t you worry about that, you’re a young guy…it all worked out fine.”

Although his appearance was short and many thought that Conan would never set foot on NBC’s Late Night stage ever again.
