In case you’ve been wondering what Conan O’Brien has been up to, a documentary has just been premiered about the days after the unexpected ending to his career on NBC’s “Tonight Show”. Conan attended the premiere on Sunday night but he’s reportedly reluctant to re-visit those days of his life.
“I’m happy where I am now. I don’t really need to go back to it. But I made a commitment”
The documentary is called, “Conan O’Brien Can’t Stop”. Conan agreed to have a camera crew document his tour last year, “Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television” tour. Rodman Flender, the director of the documentary has known Conan since they both studied together at Harvard in the 80’s. He describes how he saw an opportunity in a crisis when Conan ‘left’ the Tonight Show;
“This seemed like Conan in a specific position and how he was going to handle that and it was happening right then and there.”
Conan O’Brien is open about the fact that it was a difficult time for him but he is happy now and has a new late-night talk show, “Conan” on TBS.
