Britain’s Got Talent judge and comedian David Walliams is having an operation to solve a long standing back injury, an injury he sustained while raising £2million for the charity Comic Relief.
Walliams, 42, has been in pain ever since he completed his swim down the River Thames in 2011, an eight day swim that helped raise a staggering £2million for Comic Relief. Speaking to the Daily Mirror about his impending surgery he said, “Unfortunately the operation on my back is long overdue. The doctors have ordered me to rest for the remainder of the year so I can recover.”
Walliams had been due to attend his own book event “World of Walliams” next week, but sadly due to his operation the event has now been postponed and rescheduled for March next year. Walliams said, “I am so sorry the mega-book event has had to be postponed. Fortunately we are able to reschedule the event for March, and hopefully I will see most of you there. I wish you all a very merry Christmas”.
All the staff at Hot Gossip would like to pass on their good wishes to David and his family, and wish him a speedy recovery from his operation.
