Coldplay denies plagiarism allegations

According to Reuters, 52-year-old guitarist Joe Satriani filed a copyright infringement suit against the British rock band Coldplay last Thursday, claiming that Coldplay’s hit song “Viva La Vida” integrates “substantial original portions” of his song “If I Could Fly.”

But Coldplay is denying the plagiarism allegations. The group claims that the similarities between their hit single “Viva La Vida” and Satriani’s “If I Could Fly” are entirely coincidental.

Check out the video above and tell us what you think! Did Coldplay copy Satriani?

Viva La Vida sounds almost the same as that other one! I think the similarities are way too many for this to be JUST a coincidence.
