Clinton Brown cautioned fans that there are always “two sides to every story”, following the rapper’s arrest last week on suspicion of assaulting Rihanna.
Police investigations are ongoing into the reported altercation, which has so far caused that both artists were apparently pulling out of planned Grammy performances.
The 44-year-old told People that his 19-year-old son was “reflecting on this situation” and would learn from it.
“He’s very remorseful. He’s very concerned about the situation and he wants to make sure that [Rihanna’s] okay,” he said. “This is unfortunate, this stumble, this situation. Hopefully, he will get past it. We all have our shortcomings. We all trip.”
