Usmagazine.com reports that R&B singer Chris Brown – who allegedly assulted his girlfriend R&B star Rihanna Saturday night – will no longer be featured in the Milk Council’s popular “Got Milk” ads after the “Body by Milk” campaign ends later this week.
A representative for the company has issued a statement to the media that reads: “The Milk Mustache campaign is taking the allegations against Chris Brown very seriously. We are very proud and protective of the image of the Milk Mustache campaign and the responsible message it sends to teens. Mr. Brown’s ad was launched last fall and is scheduled to end this week.”
This is not the first blow to Brown and his career since he was arrested in connection with allegedly assaulting Rihanna. Two days ago, Wrigley’s gum announced that they were dumping their campaign with Chris Brown and according to Entertainmentwise.com, the Cleveland radio station WAKS FM 96.5 has pulled all music by Brown from their playlist since his arrest.
And in other news…
Fox News reports that Chris Brown has picked the famous lawyer Mark Geragos to represent him in this whole thing with his girlfriend. This is the same lawyer who lost actress Winona Ryder’s shoplifting case some years back and who got The King of Pop into lots of trouble during his child molestation case (Luckily for Jackson, Geragos was later replaced by Tom Mesereau).
