This year’s 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards was hosted by Glee star Jane Lynch. But Charlie Sheen’s appearance seems to be getting the most attention according to TiVo, Sheen’s part of the show was the “most watched and re-watched” segment.
Sheen was in familiar territory when he presented the Emmy for Best Actor in a Comedy Series, perhaps the audience expected him to do or say something outrageous but instead, before announcing the award he said,
“Before I present outstanding lead actor in a comedy series, my old category, I want to take a moment to get something off my chest and say a few words to everybody here from Two and a Half Men. From the bottom of my heart, I wish you nothing but the best for this upcoming season. We spent eight wonderful years together and I know you will continue to make great television.”
Later backstage Sheen got chatting with his replacement on “Two and a Half Men.”, Ashton Kutcher, then later Sheen posted a picture on WhoSay of the two talking. Sheen seems determined to show that he’s back on the straight and narrow.
