David Cook, 25, claimed the “American Idol” title Wednesday night.

The judges praised David Archuleta, 17, the night before, but that did not matter. America voted for rock singer and songwriter David Cook!

“This is all your fault.” Cook said to his brother after receiving the good news. According to the Huffington Post, Cook actually just went to the “Idol” audition just to support his brother, but ended up winning the whole thing!

Cook Trivia:

- David Cook was born December 20, 1982, in Houston, Texas.

- He received his first guitar at the age of 2.

- After his college graduation, he relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma to pursue a career in music.

- Cook was the lead singer and guitarist of the band Axium from 1999 until 2006.

- Cook released a solo independent album, Analog Heart, in 2006.

Ali and Dina Lohan appeared on Good Morning America to promote their new reality series, “Living Lohan”.
