MTV gave in yesterday and finally gave the official okey dokey, that Britney Spears will be opening their VMA’s this year.
They did not however offer any further information, so what exactly she’ll be doing is a mystery at best.

The folks over at E! online put forth hopes that she’d be putting her sparkley bikini back on and giving them “more”.

It looks like she still has to face the music in her driving without a valid license rap, which means she may be going back to court again in October.
Michaeil Flanagan, her attorney spoke to E News, who report that he says that Britney is getting a bad rap because she’s a celebrity.
We think perhaps they wanted the charges tossed?

Flanagan did tell E! that he hoped the judge, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge James A. Steele would simply throw the case out.
It’s interesting that the attorney believes that her getting the same treatment as anyone else who drove without a license is a bad rap brought on by her celebrity status.
We tend to believe she’s being treated with all the equality that she might wish for.

Since his Oscar winning performance in the hit movie “The Usual Suspects”, Kevin Spacey’s sexuality has been widely discussed in the tabloids.

The gay rumors later increased when he allegedly refused to report being mugged in the wee hours of the morning in a London park, in 2004.

In case you hadn’t read last weeks news, rapper DMX was arrested again for about the gazillionth time.

It’s apparently not fashionable to be a celeb these days unless your rap sheet is longer than your credits sheet.

It seems though that those pesky law enforcement officials don’t know this… police weren’t impressed with DMX record though and since he’s got six arrests to his credit just this year alone, they’ve decided that the rapper bad boy should enjoy their hospitality for a while, Holly Scoop reported.

It appears he may be in jail until his trial date comes up… in OCTOBER?

The rapper known as Da Brat has just been given a fairly serious spanking from an Atlanta judge, who sentenced her to three years in prison for an assault where she reportedly beat a woman with a rum bottle at a Halloween party.

It appears that not all violent celebs slide with the actions.
In DeKalb County Superior Court yesterday the rapper known as Da Brat, officially Shawntae Harris, was given the sentence by Judge Gail Flake, who also passed along seven years’ probation and 200 hours of community service for the Halloween assault that took place at Studio 72 nightclub in Tucker, Ga., a suburb of Atlanta.

Da Brat, who reportedly slammed a nearly full rum bottle into the head of an Atlanta Falcons cheerleader who was serving as a hostess at the party, saw her victim fall down the stairs nd suffer a serious facial cut that left permanent facial scarring after bamming her with the bottle. In an effort to lesson her punishment Harris, pleaded guilty to felony aggravated assault , likely hoping to avoid jail time.
Apparently it didn’t work out for her.
Reportedly after hearing the sentence, the rapper and her family broke down.
They didn’t expect some kind of justice for the victim?

Da Brat, no stranger to bad behavior, also is the proud possessor of a pistol whipping incident on her rap sheet that stems from another incident

Harris, who lives part time in Atlanta and  part time in Chicago, was the first female rapper to sell a million copies of an album, for  “Funkdafied,” She has toured as well as recorded with Mariah Carey; has been  nominated for a Grammy for “Not Tonight,” a collaboration with Missy Elliott, Lil’ Kim, the late Lisa “Left-Eye” Lopes and Angie Martinez; and has also been seen on numerous  reality TV shows “The Surreal Life” and “The Celebrity Fit Club” to name two.

Apparently the only thing she has not done, is anger management classes…

“The Office” water cooler gossip just got a bit tastier.

Hit man Craig Robinson, and boy friend in the making to Kelly in “The Office” has been a naughty boy.

It appears he will be looking felony drug charges in the eye  after being arrested during a traffic stop.

Filed Friday afternoon in Los Angeles DA’s office, Robinson is being charged with ”  two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of being under the influence of a controlled substance.”

Apparently those controlled substances  he may have been influence by purportedly include   amphetamines, cocaine and cannabinoids—or any of the chemicals found in cannabis.

Robinson, was arrrested on June 29 in Culver City, Calif., when police officers pulled him over for a  simple little traffic violation and found drugs in the car, authorities stated, which made the arrest not so simple.

He will be arraigned on Aug. 21.

Surprise..  his representative had no comment.

What a role model she is!

Singer/addict Amy Winehouse took her 12-year-old goddaughter with her to a club the other night. According to mirror.co.uk, the poor little girl was then left to look on powerlessly as Amy drank to the point that she collapsed in a heap on the floor.

What can we say? Some things never change… And how somebody can ask Amy Winehouse to be their kid’s godmother, well that’s just beyond us.
