Jaws Star Shows His Teeth

Actor Richard Dreyfuss Richard Dreyfuss, who some of you will remember from the Jaws movies, as well as Poseidon,  is taking the American penchant for litigation to a whole new level, suing not just his uncle, but also his father, Norman Dreyfuss.

Announcing his retirement from films in 2004, apparently thats not going well. The actor filed suit against his uncle and father last Friday, claiming that they took a loan from him to help save a failing family business and have never repaid the loan.

Way back in 1984 Richard claims he loaned his relatives some money( about 870,000 dollars it is claimed) to shore up a failing business. They apparently owned interest in a Los Angeles office building.

He loaned them the funds but so far has seen no return of that kind investment.

After waiting almost 25 years, he decided to ask for it back. The actor says that his uncle, Gilbert Dreyfuss has been asked repeatedly for documentation of the financial status of the building but has refused to turn it over to him.

The Jaw’s star says that his family members have acted with both “fraud” and “malice” and he wants the loan repaid, with interest and damages.

Apparently not only the shark from that movie has a few teeth.

Nationwide boycott of “Tropic Thunder” on the way

Tropic Thunder,

A coalition of disability advocacy groups is expected to call for a national boycott of Ben Stiller’s new flick “Tropic Thunder” because of what the groups consider the movie’s open ridicule of the intellectually disabled, according to the New York Times.

The groups are particularly upset over the fact that the term “retard” is often used in the movie to describe the mindless character, Simple Jack, played by Stiller.

“Tropic Thunder” is an action comedy starring Ben Stiller (he is also the director), Jack Black and Robert Downey Jr. as a group of prima donna actors, who are shooting a Vietnam War movie when their director decides to leave them in the middle of a real war.

Dina Lohan furious at Anderson Cooper for dissing Ali

Dina Lohan

So, why is mommy Dina pissed this time?

Well, according to OK! magazine, Dina is not very happy about the fact that CNN’s Anderson Cooper criticized the reality show “Living Lohan” as well as Dina’s little wannabe pop singer/daughter Ali during his guest-hosting appearance on Regis & Kelly. (Watch the video, here!)

Cooper said the following about Lindsay’s little sister, Ali Lohan, when talking about the reality show:

“Allegedly a 14-year-old girl, looks to be about 60… I say that with concern and love. She allegedly wants to be a singer and or actor-slash-performer of some sort, striptease person, I don’t know.”

Apparently, mommy Dina did not like Cooper’s comments and has now told OK!, that “People are just cruel” and that “this is bad karma for him.”
