While we’re sure that names like Pilot Inspektor and Moon Unit Zappa, have some real cultural significance somewhere along the line,  and we’re equally certain that things like “normal “names don’t suit the rockers and movie icons because we wouldn’t be interested,  the names being laid on the newborns recently beg the question; don’t these people know that these kids have to actually LIVE with these names.

For example, Gwen Stefani’s new arrival, Zuma Nesta Rock, offers some real personal meaning to the family. Reportedly according to those with the “secret baby name decoder ring”, Zuma is the name of beach where a flash of insight told dad he wanted to be a rocker. Nesta is Bob Marley’s middle name… and so it goes.

While the name may have a great deal of significance to the couple, will it hold the same for the child, and does it for the general public?

In this case no. The Zuma Nesta Rock moniker forced on this little tyke,  until we were educated, rather sounded like the name of a music CD that never made the top ten.

US Weekly reports that the little girl was born August 10th.

The duo haven’t given anyone a name yet, but we’ve got high hopes that Lee, who told us all in May that they were expecting a little girl, will find a name more suitable than the one he picked for his son, who is now almost five years old. (Pilot Inspektor, from another relationship)

The opening track, ‘He’s Simple, He’s Dumb, He’s the Pilot,’ absolutely blew my mind when I first heard it,” Lee explained when asked about the little boys name by Entertainment Weekly back in 2003.

He also said that it was mom Beth Riesgraf who originally coined the name, so here’s hoping that new mom has a bit more sense.

The star of “My Name is Earl” in the meantime,  is closed mouthed about whether he was actually seen waiting line for a marriage license. Stay tuned for details.

After several months of media speculation about the state of affairs in their marriage and with their brood, Jennifer Garner confirmed that she is indeed expecting another child with her husband, Ben Affleck.

In an interview she did for Access Hollywood,  she officially gave the positive nod to Tony Pott’s, telling him that they were  expecting again and adding “We’re so excited, obviously.”

The couples first child, a daughter named Violet was born in late 2005.

Jennifer’s confirmation of her pregnancy this week can finally lay to rest all the media speculation and questions  that she admits gave her a good laugh.

Gwen Stefani, 38, and her husband Gavin Rossdale, 42, welcomed their second son, on Thursday in Los Angeles, according to People.

The baby, Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale, was born at 12:46 p.m. and weighed 8 1/2 lbs.

“Mother, baby and family are all happy and healthy”, they say in a statement.

The couple’s other son, Kingston, is two years old.

Matt Damon’s wife, Luciana Damon, gave birth to a healthy baby girl on Wednesday.

“Matt and Lucy Damon had a baby girl named Gia Zavala on Wednesday, Aug. 20th. Everyone’s doing great. She is a healthy baby girl,” said Damon’s rep to PEOPLE.

Gia Zavala will now join the female forces together with her two older sisters and her mom trying to be in command of the “Sexiest Man Alive”!

Latino pop star Ricky Martin is now the proud father of twin boys, E! reports. The children were delivered via a surrogate mother a few weeks ago and are already, according to an official statement, under Martin’s full-time care.

No further details about the twins are available at this time and the identity of the boys’ mother is still unknown, according to E!.

During the Livin’ la Vida Loca period, Martin was constantly asked if he was gay (which he always denied, and still does) due to his large gay following and now it is happening all over again. Ever since the news about his “surrogate twins” hit the Net, people can’t stop speculating about his sexual orientation. Some even say that this - becoming a father via a surrogate mother - might encourage him to come out of the closet…

But that’s really HIS business, right? So we just want to say: Congrats on the babies, Ricky!!!
