Rebecca Gayheart and husband Eric Dane welcome their first child.

Gayheart gave birth to a baby girl on Wednesday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, reported Hollyscoop.

“They’re both over the moon about it,” said an insider.

Gayheart told In Touch Weekly that she and Dane have always wanted to be parents.

Dane is the star of Grays Anatomy and the two married in Las Vegas six years ago.

The star said that she and husband Matthew Broderick “explored” all their options before deciding about their twins who were born in June. Marion Loretta Elwell and Tabitha Hodge, were born to a surrogate.

Quoted by Elle, she stated: “I knew there would be lots of opinions about, ‘Well, why didn’t you adopt? Why didn’t you do this? Why didn’t you do that?’ and the truth of the matter is, it wasn’t one or the other for us.

“We had explored, and continue to explore all options, and this one just happened first. This isn’t the period at the end of the sentence.”

Asked if she is a hands-on mum, Parker replied: “I love the smell of diapers; I even like when they’re wet and you smell them all warm liked a baked good. I love the smell of Balmex. Love it.”

A judge ordered the two people accused of trying to extort 18 million from the Hollywood actor following the death of his son Jett in the Bahamas will face a new trial “in the interest of justice”.

Senior Justice Anita Allensaid she was forced to make the decision after a speech broadcast on the TV and radio hinted the jury would acquit one of the defendants.

While the jurors were deliberating, she told the court: “We are concerned in the interest of justice that there has been a communication from the jury room.

“The dilemma that we face is great. I am erring on the side of caution. Justice must be transparent.”
