Winslet Upset Over Airbrush Claims

Little more than just a  day afterKate Winslet said in Vanity Fair that she still felt like the little fat kid, there are those in her own home country who are queuing up to claim she still is..
Winslet however isn’t having any of it: “Kate is furious at suggestions that her body has been airbrushed,” her rep told People..

The Sun on its front page  asked the question, whether “that magic airbrush has been at work again” and the Daily Telegraph  went so far as to get themselves a digital retouching expert to analyze the photos.

But the closest scrutiny comes from the Daily Mail, which engaged a professional airbrush artist to do a sort of digital autopsy on Winslet, who was shot wearing heels, black stockings and nothing else.

“She is in terrific shape and what you see is how she looks or she would never have agreed to pose for those shots,” adds her rep.

She looks pretty good to us, no matter how she arrived there…

Fashion critic Mr. Blackwell dies at 86

Mr. Blackwell

Mr. Blackwell, the fashion designer/critic whose annual worst-dressed list poked fun at celebrities such as Cameron Diaz, Lindsay Lohan, Barbra Streisand and Sandra Bullock, died Sunday of complications from an intestinal infection. He was 86 years old.

Mr Blackwell’s List
Mr. Blackwell’s first “Ten Worst Dressed Women” list premiered in 1960 and by its third year every television station and radio network started to cover it. Generally, Blackwell only included women who capitalized on their flamboyant appearances or the mega-wealthy on his list. And he never seemed to care if he offended any of them with his boorish comments.

Here are some of the celebrities who have had the misfortune to end up on Mr. Blackwell’s worst dressed lists over the years… and what he said about them:

Paris Hilton: “The Burger Queen Sensation may be very rich – but she still looks like yesterday’s cheesecake… with a side of kitsch.”

Victoria Beckham: “Forget the fashion spice - wearing a skirt would suffice! In one skinny-mini monstrosity after another, pouty posh can really wreck-em.”

Mary Kate Olsen: “YIKES! In layers of cut-rate kitsch, Mary Kate’s look is hard to explain…she resembles a tattered toothpick-trapped in a hurricane!”

Avril Lavigne: “Gothic make-up courtesy the mad spatula-Fashions provided by…The house of Dracula!”

Miley Cyrus’s style slammed by fashion guru

Miley Cyrus

“Project Runway” host Tim Gunn has told OK! Magazine that he thinks 15-year-old Disney megastar Miley Cyrus dresses “too tarty”.

“Forgive me. She’s just a little too tart. I don’t want her to look like she’s going into a convent school. But it’s just a little too much for a 15-year-old. If I didn’t know better, I’d swear she was 25,” Tim has said according to the magazine.

Miley is not the only celeb the fashion guru has slammed recently. At the New York launch party for Tide and Downy Total Care (!) Gunn told the same tabloid that Jennifer Aniston is a gorgeous woman, but that she looks desperate. “The clothes we wear send a message. And I think that’s the message — I don’t think that’s her intention though.”
