The rumor has it that Tom Cruise’s wife Katie Holmes spent more than $43,000 to change her look for the Japanese premiere of Cruise’s Nazi movie “Valkyrie” last week.

The British tabloid the Daily Mail reports that Holmes’s makeover took place at the Ritz-Carlton in Tokyo and that it took about 48 hours to complete.

Holmes makeover included hair extensions for about $3,000, spa treatments for over $10,000, tooth veneers for almost $29,000, and makeup for more than $1,400, according to the rag.

It sure looks like it was worth every cent, don’t you think?
