Seven months after his birth, Cardi B and Offset have shared what their son’s name is, along with the first photos of him.
Sea-Inspired Name
The couple took to their Instagram accounts on Thursday (April 14) to share the adorable photos and they also revealed his unique name.
Cardi’s photos showed her youngest child sitting in a bassinet wearing blue leggings, a white tee, a blue sweatshirt, and white sneakers. He topped off his look with a white beanie and puffy blue jacket with fur lining. The infant accessorised with a diamond necklace that appeared to be in the shape of a wave.
Cardi shared a couple photos and captioned her post with just a few emojis, “🦕🌊🧸.”
Meanwhile, Offset, shared a close-up snap of the couple’s baby boy on his account, this time showing him chilling in the bathtub wearing only a silver chain necklace. The little one has a full head of curly hair and diamond earrings. Offset revealed the baby boy’s name in his caption, writing, “WAVE SET CEPHUS.”
Over on Twitter, Cardi revealed that when Offset suggested the name Wave, “I was sold! THAT HAD TO BE HIS NAME!” Last month, Cardi posted the first, brief glimpse of Wave when she shared a very close-up image of one of his eyes.
It looks like Cardi is back on social media, just 10 days after she deactivated her Twitter and Instagram accounts due to the backlash she received for not attending the Grammys.
More About the Couple
Cardi and Offset’s relationship has been on and off since they tied the knot in September 2017. They split in December 2018 and again in September 2020, but Cardi filed to dismiss her petition for divorce in November 2020.
Cardi and Offset are already parents to 3-year-old daughter Kulture. Offset is also dad to daughter Kalea, 7, and sons Kody, 7, and Jordan, 12, from previous relationships.
