Britney Spears Addresses Her Confusing Social Media Posts

Britney Spears has recently defended her criticized social media posts – she just wants to do what makes her happy.

She Just Wants to be Her Authentic Self

The singer is pretty active on her social media, and often uses her Instagram to share inspiration quotes, dance videos, and photos of her posing in her best outfits.

However, not everyone has the kindest things to say on the internet – and Britney has responded to these comments like she knows best.

In one of her latest social media posts, Britney shared a Bible quote which read:

‘Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.’

She added the following caption:

“‘I get how some people might not like my posts or even understand them, but this is Me being happy,’ Britney wrote.

This is Me being authentic and as real as it gets !!!! I want to inspire people to do the same and just be themselves without pleasing others…. ‘That’s the key to happiness !!!!!!

Concerned Fans

Last year Spears canceled her Las Vegas residency and checked into a mental health facility and since then fans have been growing more skeptical about her well-being.

Adding the fuel to this are the details of her father’s conservatorship over her (which gives him control over her finances and other personal decisions) that have also come to light.

One situation that amplified her fans’ apprehension occurred in April, when the 38-year-old singer shared on social media an accident involving her gym and a couple of forgotten candles.

Taking to Instagram Live, Spears casually revealed that she accidentally burned down her home gym, understandably raising many eyebrows.

“I haven’t been in here for, like, six months, because I burnt my gym down, unfortunately,” she said in a video. “I had two candles, and, yeah, one thing led to another, and I burned it down.”

The pop star is after all reassuring fans, however, that she’s simply being Britney.
