Britain Council Under Fire for Video



Road CrossingIn the news from across the pond, a council in Britain is under fire for a video they had made. It seems the County Council of Kent has spent 15000 GBP making a video to explain to their adult residents ‘how to cross a road’!!!

Kent County Council, which faces losing up to £50million in the Icelandic bank crisis, forked out the five-figure sum on more than one DVD explaining things that don’t really need an explanation.

According to the Sun, the seven-minute film – which was hosted by none other than a by former BBC news presenter Julie Maddox – “It’s full of bizarre advice and jargon to explain the seemingly simple task of getting from one side of a ring road to the other.”

Town businessman Ken Grice, 41, said: ‘I can’t believe it is seriously necessary to spend thousands of pounds telling grown ups how to cross a road.
