A woman had to pay a five-year bill that totalled more than £807 pounds after her milkman finally turned up on her doorstep to collect the debt..
Allyson and Bob Hill told the South Wales Echo that over the last few yearsthey had left a number of notes for their dairy deliverer since they last saw him in 2004 asking how much they owed and to settle the bill.
The couple had asked for an update on how much they owed every time they went away or changed their order, but they never got a reply or saw him until he arrived at their house last Thursday.
Allyson said: “He said, ‘do you know who I am?’ I said, ‘yes come in, where have you been?’ He said, ‘time goes by so quickly’.
“I said ‘are you going to sit down and tell me how much I owe?'”
He told the Hills that he did not expect them to settle the whole bill at once, but they immediately paid off the debt.
The Hills cancelled their milk order and will travel to the supermarket to get their milk from now on.. Can’t say we blame them.
