Patrick Swayze has died today after a nearly two-year battle with pancreatic cancer.
Swayze’s publicist Annett Wolf announced that the 57-year-old actor died Monday with family at his side. He came forward publicly about his illness early on and continued to work until the last possible moment.
Swayze became a star in the late 1980s with his performance in “Dirty Dancing,” The 1990 “Ghost” boosted his status as a screen favorite among the heartthrobs of the film industry.
