Bono’s Charity Gig Raised $42.6 million
Bono’s Valentine’s Day charity auction event at the Gagosian Gallery in New York City, has raised a near-record breaking $42.6 million, far more than organizers were expecting.
The charity auction sold off contemporary art to the highest bidders and all proceeds from the fundraiser will be donated to the United Nations’ HIV relief initiative in Africa.
