After almost a year of dating, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds tied the knot in a secret wedding ceremony near Charleston, South Carolina. Sources from E! News and People reported that the two wed in an intimate ceremony at Boone Hall Plantation in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina on Sunday.
Guests at the wedding included close friends and big celebrities close to the couple. Some celebrities who were reported to have attended the wedding were Bette Midler and Florence Welch of Florence + The Machine. Midler was reported to sing at the ceremony while Welch, a close friend of the Lively, sang at the reception.
A radio jock, Kelly Gukanovich, from the local radio station 95.1 FM had reported to E! News that there were around 60 guests in attendance and that the local restaurant may have catered the event. Gukanovich adds, “Ryan has always loved it here and when he got together with Blake, he started to bring her here, too.”
Sources also say that wedding guests were asked to turn in their cellular phones before entering the large white tent put up for the ceremony. The bride wore a Chanel gown while the groom wore a Hugo Boss tuxedo. The $3,000 wedding cake was reportedly baked by Maggie Austin Cakes from Maryland and had to be driven over eight hours to get to the reception.
Reynolds and Lively met when they worked together on the movie “Green Lantern” last year and were dating for almost a year. Rumors of a wedding first came out this summer when the police had mistakenly reported her as the actor’s wife. But there was never a wedding until last Sunday.
