Now how does this strike you for judicial ignorance??
A serial stalker who was accused of sending death threats to Billie Piper does NOT get a jail term, in spite of mounting what was called a “terrifying” campaign of harassment against even Pipers neighbours.
Juliette Peters, 40, who is said to have” mild autism”, subjected Piper to constant phone calls threatening to decapitate her, burn her body and shoot her parents.
And for this, she gets a suspended sentence.
Peters was convinced that Piper had given her “sly, dirty looks” when she was in the studio audience of Five’s Pepsi Chart Show.
She then proceeded to terrorise the two neighbors of the woman for more than 6 months, despite having a suspended jail sentence imposed in an attempt to deter her.
Yesterday they handed down another suspended sentence of 52 weeks. A restraining order was also granted .
There is of course the off chance that she may listen, or there is the chance that she’ll offer us more news when she does some real physical damage.. What was that judge THINKING??
After reading this on several sites, it came as no surprise to me. Juliette Peters harassed myself and my family since 2002, she was a year below me at Barnet College studying design and communication.
First leaving nasty messages, phone calls some very adolescent, others death threats etc saying she will follow me to my address and stab my parents.
This was reported to Enfield police station more than 7 times over several years by myself and my mother and our lecturers were aware of her previous record and had discussed what had happened whilst I was still at the College. In 2005 I moved to Cape Town, South Africa – and the calls continued – my parents reported this also to Telecom and barred any withheld calls. Also having to change their mobile number.
I am really shocked after all the reports, previous court case with Billie Piper that this woman, who has serious mental problems and not just mild autism gets away with this every time. Clearly she is seeking attention and needs a lot of help – I am just concerned she will do something a lot more serious and nothing has been done to prevent this. With the police telling me there’s nothing I can do other than to make a report. From my experience with this woman I feel she has potential to be a dangerous person and needs some form of treatment very soon.
