Bill Cosby was charged with First-Degree Felony in 2004 Case of Alleged Aggravated Indecent Assault

The famous actor Bill Cosby will have to finally answer for the numerous allegations of sexual abuse and assault that have come out against him in the past few years.  This Cosby Show star that is at the age of 78 has been charged with aggravated indecent assault which is a first degree felony within the investigations of the alleged sexual assault case in 2004.

This news broke while in a press conference that took place on Wednesday December 30, 2015.  It has been the first time Bill Cosby has been charged in a criminal case, despite all of the allegations that were placed against him.

“We are here to announce today charges that have just been filed against William Henry Cosby,” First Assistant District Attorney Kevin Steele told the press. “These charges stem from a sexual assault that took place at Mr. Cosby’s home. He is expected to be arraigned later this afternoon.”

The accusations that took place in 2004 came from the former Temple University employee, who at the time told police that Mr./ Cosby drugged and violated her while they were in Philadelphia.  This case was previously denied by a district attorney back in 2005.  The case then was reopened this summer after more damaging testimony was uncovered in a related civil suit that involved dozens of other women who accused Bill Cosby of the same wrong doings.

Mr. Cosby has also filed a defamation suit that will be against seven of the women who have accused him of these sexual assault wrong doings, due to their malicious, false, opportunistic, as well as defamatory accusations of sexual misconduct against him.  Yet Mr. Cosby’s lawyers have previously denied these allegations.
