The MTV Video Music Awards were pretty much dominated by the news announced by 
and her husband, Jay-z, she’s pregnant! She and Jay-Z made the very public announcement to photographers outside the MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles. Beyoncé posed for the cameras and showed off her now visible baby bump before the show.
Then during the ceremony the singer told the audience: “I want you to feel the love that’s growing inside of me.” Beyoncé then ended her performance by taking off the sequined tuxedo jacket she was wearing to rub her belly
The night’s events also included a Lady Gaga, but as her male alter ego, Jo Calderone, she was in drag for the entire show. Katy Perry won three awards and Kanye West managed to be on his best behavior. Even when he was presenting an award with Perry and she made a poke at him about his outburst whilst onstage with Taylor Swift.
