Arnold Schwarzenegger has announced that he has been writing his memoir and it is set for release in October 2012. The book will be called Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story. Apparently it won’t be a tell-all but it will discuss the breakup of his marriage to Maria Shriver. The actor and former California governor will also discuss his childhood in Austria and his work in bodybuilding, film, and politics.
Schwarzenegger’s publisher, Simon & Schuster released a statement to announce the books release;
“Nobody has a life story even close to his. Truly, Arnold is one of the most fascinating figures of our time.”
As reported by People, Schwarzenegger has been working on the book for over a year, his spokesman, Adam Mendelsohn, spoke with People and said;
“He has been keeping notes and working on the book for over a year, ” Mendelsohn also said “He didn’t want to write his autobiography while he was governor.”
The memoir will be co-written by Peter Petre, former executive editor of Fortune.
