Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello have been friends for a while now, but fans are beginning to suspect that this friendship has turned into something more.
It started with the “Señorita” video
Ever since the steamy “Señorita” video has dropped, the Shamila shippers cannot stop gushing over the fact that the duo might be dating.
In the video, we see Camila as a waitress, and Shawn starring as a customer looking for something to eat.
However, sparks fly all over the place, and the two end up at a hotel room ripping each other’s clothes off.
The chemistry does not exist only on-screen apparently since the duo was spotted cuddling and holding hands on multiple occasions. The Havana singer documented in her Instagram Story her experience at Shawn’s concert at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on July 5th, writing how Shawn is “amazing” and “unreal”.
Some sources claim that they were being flirty at the Fourth of July pool party and mostly kept to themselves.
Adding fuel to the gossip fire is also the fact that at the time of the “Señorita” video release, it was announced that Camilla broke things off with her boyfriend Matthew Hussey after the two dated for 18 months.
According to the report, the break-up was a mutual decision due to the fact that the relationship had simply run its course.
A Long History of Dating Rumours
Of course, this is not the first time the duo has sparked romance rumours.
After meeting during Austin Mahone’s Live On tour in 2014, the speculations ran that they were dating, when they were seen linking up backstage at the iHeartRadio Music Festival the following year.
Even though they look really cute together, neither has confirmed nor denied their relationship, so everything that remains is pure speculation.
