Actress Anne Hathaway’s former fling, Raffaello Follieri, has been sentenced to 4 1/2 years in prison for cheating investors.
According to Fox News, Follieri swindled them by claiming he had Vatican connections (the U.S. government says he claimed he was the chief financial officer of the Vatican) that allowed him to buy cheap Catholic Church property.
Follieri pleaded guilty to federal charges of money laundering and conspiracy commit wire fraud last month.
