Anna Faris and Chris Pratt Divorce after Eight Years of Marriage

Chris Pratt, the actor of the “Guardians of the Galaxy”, and his wife Anna Faris, the actress of comedy movies, have announced that they are “legally separating” after eight years of marriage.

The couple history

For years now, they have been one of the Hollywood’s favourite couples. The couple met while filming “Take Me Home Tonight” and got engaged a year later.

The couple got married in 2009 and shares a five-year-old son Jack. Over the years, they have posted videos, selfies and fun anecdotes about one another. They were one of the most down-to-earth couples and the fans worshiped them and envied their happy marriage.

Just a few months ago, Pratt gave a heartfelt speech and honoured his wife, referring to Anna as the woman who gave him “the greatest star in the galaxy”. So when they shared the news about separation on social media late Sunday night, the fans were shocked.

What Went Wrong

Chris Pratt has gained worldwide fame in recent years filming blockbusters like Guardians of the Galaxy movies, Passengers, The Lego Movie and Jurassic World while Anna spent time at home raising their son and it was tough on both of them.

Chris revealed that he was away on set from Jack’s seventh to thirteenth month. He literally saw him twice at the period and Anna told him Jack’s first sentence was “Dada’s working”.  Anna revealed in her podcast last year that she felt hurt by rumours surrounding her marriage.

She said: “I take pride in how great my relationship is with Chris, but having said that, of course in this crazy world where he’s off doing movies and I’m in LA raising our child, of course, I’m going to feel vulnerable like any normal human would.”

In a post that perplexed all of true love believers Chris explained that they have been trying for so long and that they are really disappointed to be splitting up.

“Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still have love for each other, and will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.”
