Just post the beginning of the season, Angels rookie right-hander from the MLB, Nick Adenhart died earlier this morning after a hit-and-run car accident in Fullerton, Calif., according to several reports.
University of California-Irvine Medical Center spokesman John Murray said, according to the MLB site, that Adenhart died after undergoing surgery, The Associated Press reported.
Two others were killed and another was seriously injured in the accident, which involved three vehicles. Authorities had blamed the accident on a motorist who ran a red light and then ran from the scene on foot, but was later found and taken into custody.
