Yes, Angelina Jolie is in fact filing for a divorce from actor Brad Pitt after a very short marriage that lasted two years.
The decision to file for a divorce was in the end made for the overall health of their family. Angelina also stated that she will not make any comments on this situation at this time and asks that her family be left to their privacy during this very difficult time.
This amazing 41 year old academy award winning actress actually filed the documents for the divorce on Monday, September 19, which she cited irreconcilable difference as the bases for the divorce. Angelina is in fact seeking the physical custody of all six of the children the twins Vivienne and Knox who are eight years old, Shiloh who is at the age of ten, Zahara who is 11 years old, Pax who is at the age of twelve, and Maddox who is fifteen years old. Jolie is also asking that Brad Pitt is only awards joint legal custody and she is also not requesting that she is awarded any spousal support from Brad.
It was reported back in June that this amazing couple was having a bit of tension in their relationship. It was noticed that the couple was having a bit of a difference over whether or not to sell the Chateau Miraval estate that is located in Correns, France.
