Ana Ivanovic and her husband Bastian Schweinsteiger became parents for the first time last night as Ana gave birth to their son Luka.
The baby boy
Serbian tennis player gave birth last night in a Chicago hospital, the city in which the famous couple lives since Bastian started playing for Chicago Fire.
The sports couple never confirmed the speculations that they are expecting a baby boy but now we know for sure. The baby boy named Luka was welcomed much to a delight from the couple’s families, fans and supporters.
In November 2017 they announced that they are expecting a baby in the cutest way.
Ana posted a picture of tiny Adidas Yeezy trainers alongside her own and her husband’s. The Grand Slam champion winner and former No1 tennis player never exposed her growing baby bump on social media and gave her best to keep their lives discreet in her social media postings.
She recently told the Italian Grazia that she wouldn’t want her child to be a tennis player but rather to have a full and happy childhood without a lot of sacrifices she and her husband had to have.
The famous sports couple
Ivanovic and the former Bayern Munich and Manchester United midfielder, Schweinsteiger began dating in 2014 and have done a pretty good job staying out of the spotlight.
The French Open in 2015 was the first time Schweinsteiger has been at Ana’s box. The couple tied the knot saying their vows in Venice City Hall, Italy in July 2016 after two-year-dating.
According to Forbes, their estimated net worth together is over $60 million.
The 34-year-old football star left United to sign a contract with the American club last year and proved to be a big hit in Major League Soccer outfit Chicago Fire. Ana, who was ranked No1 in the world after the 2008 French Open, retired from playing professional tennis in December 2016 to devote herself to raising the family.
