Amy Winehouse has cancelled her latest tour after she was booed by the audience at the opening night in Belgrade. Her performance was reportedly disastrous and she apparently appeared too drunk to perform. The performance was witnessed by 20,000 paying fans, and it’s been reported that after showing up late she then mumbled her way through parts of her songs and stumbled across the stage.
A Serbian newspaper called Blic described her performance as “the worst in the history of Belgrade”.
This was followed by a statement from her rep announcing that her next performances in Istanbul and Athens have been cancelled. The statement issued on her behalf said;
“Despite feeling sure that she wanted to fulfill these commitments, she has agreed with management that she cannot perform to the best of her ability and will return home.”
This doesn’t come as much of a surprise, as the singer was very recently back in rehab in London for her alcohol issues but she checked herself out after just a few days.
