Americans Tired of the Poor Television Scheduling

According to reports, about half of Americans are tired of not knowing when to tune in for beginning series and episodes of new shows. Formerly the reruns would end in the summer and fall brought out new television series shows, so people knew what to expect.

A writers strike and other events have teamed up to make it very difficult for people to know when the new seasons of their favorite shows are, taking place. Series have begun anywhere from January this year, to late september, making it fare more likely, according to most of them, that they won’t bother hunting and searching, but will instead turn to online venues and take their money to sites such as Amazon to purchase the weekly show episodes rather than attempt to find them.

According to one source, the “media can report on nearly anything you dont want to know about, but try to find out when your favorite show is coming back on the air.” Further they are angered that with all the online coverage that the shows they’d like to see aren’t offered on the web sites when its so easily accomplished.”Networks seem to encourage piracy by not making their shows available for those who can’t view them on schedule or don’t have access to cable television for one reason or another”

In fact with so many television shows taking place, the sales of those shows on an episode by episode basis on such venues as amazon.com is booming.

Does this lack of a routine when people are busy and need to plan for leisure time spell disaster for the networks and cable channels when it comes to viewers being present?  Maybe so, but suffice it to say that we don’t think there is ever going to be any shortage of television watchers.
