A 34-year-old man by the name of Robert O’Ryan, who thinks that “Dancing with the Stars” star Shawn Johnson, 17, speaks to him through the television set, was arrested Tuesday after trying to break into the DWTS set at CBS Studios in Los Angeles, according to TMZ.com.
The entertainment site reports that O’Ryan thinks Johnson also communicates with him through ESP and that he and the Olympic champion-turned-DWTS star will have a child together. In fact, he even told the police that he had permanently left his home in Florida to drive out to Los Angeles to be with her.
When police searched O’Ryan’s car, they found a loaded handgun, a loaded shotgun and duct tape – as well as other kidnapping equipment.
Johnson is reportedly very upset by this whole thing and her family is afraid that her alleged stalker might try to kidnap or harm her.
The 17-year-old gymnast obtained a temporary restraining order against her alleged stalker yesterday, People magazine reports. The restraining order instructs O’Ryan to stay at least 100 yards away from Johnson, her parents and her dancing partner, Mark Ballas. A hearing on whether or not to extend the order has been set for April 14 in Los Angeles County Superior Court.
O’Ryan remains in police custody. He is being held on $35,000 bail on suspicion of carrying a loaded firearm in public.
