MC Hammer is, according to reports, being sued after allegedly receiving an advance for a book that he never delivered on.
Adam Rothberg, of New York publishers Simon & Schuster, said that the rapper’s take on fatherhood was due in 2003 and that the manuscript never arrived for the book..
The company want back the $61,000 (£44,000) advance plus interest, which they are asking for in the lawsuit filed on March 5, reports PA.
Hammer apparently signed a contract in 2002 under his real name Stanley Kirk Burrell for the book titled Enemies Of The Father: Messages From The Heart On Being A Family Man.
MC lives in California with his wife and five children.
