Michael Jackson’s estate got slammed by three creditors all in one day.. Three heavy hitters claim that they got stiffed during his lifetime and t hey want the money from his estate.
John Landis — writer and director of “Thriller” video and documentaryclaims Jackson owes him more than $400,000 from a deal MJ made to take “Thriller” to Broadway – which he says MJ didn’t have the authority to make in the first place.
The company that got Landis to do the “Thriller” in the first place also filed their own documents to get a piece of Jacksons posthumous action. Levitsky Productions says.. send me the money.. they claim that they weren’t paid profits they were entitled to from the music video in more than 4 years. The figure they’re asking is $1,000,000.(Seems like a nice round number right>?)
George Folsey Jr. — the guy who produced the “Thriller” music video claims Jackson stiffed him out of his cut of Thriller-related merchandise you know the tee shirts, the oys and the crap we buy like video games, toys, comic books, DVDs, CDs, He too wants a touch more than $1,000,000.
Now so long as the kids get protected, we’re all for seeing them paid, but it strikes us that they could have sued the guy when he was alive, rather than holding out til his untimely demise to see if they could take the bread from the kids mouths so to speak.
